What about tests?
We don't believe in putting our patients through tests they may not need.
If a child patient presents with a history of excessive thirst and urination, weight loss and lethargy, and you suspect diabetes, please phone Queensland Paediatric Endocrinology immediately to discuss urgent medications. We are happy to facilitate admission.
If you suspect a child has an endocrine disorder such as growth hormone imbalance, sexual development issues or thyroid problems, please refer your patient.
We will determine the specific tests needed.
In all cases we will share test results with you as the referring doctor.
